Pet Surgery at Advanced Veterinary
Like humans, pets sometimes require surgery to repair injuries and physical deformities, remove tumors, treat diseases, or improve their quality of life. Since our clinic specializes in pet surgery, you don’t have to worry about a thing when your four-legged best friend comes in for a surgical procedure. Whether it’s a minor or serious issue, you can count on us to provide the best possible surgical care to your pet.
Advanced Veterinary possesses all of the necessary skills and experience to successfully perform different types of advanced surgical procedures under proper sterilization and monitoring, and our clinic has the facilities required to handle such procedures.
Some of the advanced surgical procedures we are qualified and equipped to perform are orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, arthroscopy, and oncology. Some of these procedures can be performed using minimally invasive techniques.
Before and during a procedure, our veterinarians will use their deep knowledge on anesthesiology and focus on controlling the pain in order to reduce the painful impact of surgery on your pet and keep him/her safe throughout.
We will also provide medications and strategies to help with pain management when your pet is ready to go home.
Again, we are a full-service clinic with an emphasis on surgery, which means we also offer other general veterinary care services. Feel free to browse our website to learn more about our clinic and our other service offerings.
Advanced Veterinary offers a wide selection of services that range from preventive care to surgery. Our licensed and certified veterinarians have the knowledge, skills and tools necessary to provide the highest quality veterinary care and service to all of our pet patients and their human parents.
In addition to that, our registered veterinary technicians and courteous staff are trained to handle various essential tasks around the clinic, such as assisting veterinarians during surgery procedures, operating medical equipment, and helping provide veterinary care treatments to patients.
Here’s a list of some of the services we offer:
- Preventive Care
At Advanced Veterinary, we understand that prevention is better than cure. That is why we offer a variety of preventive veterinary care treatments that can help keep your pet healthy and away from a number of illnesses. We provide parasite control, dental care, and vaccinations, among other things.
Veterinary vaccinations protect our four-legged friends from various types of communicable diseases. They play a vital role in preventing the onset of rabies, parvovirus, distemper, chlamydia, and other diseases that can hurt or kill your pet. Our clinic focuses on using vaccinations that are right for your pet.
- Dental Care
Your pet’s oral health is just as important as other aspects of his/her health. At Advanced Veterinary, we utilize the latest innovations in veterinary dental care to ensure that your pet has optimal oral health. Our dental care services include cleanings and full dental checkups, among others.
- Lab Testing & X-Ray
Modern veterinary diagnostics allow our trained veterinary technicians to have a better look at what’s going on inside your pet’s body. With these invaluable tools, our clinic can diagnose and treat a wide variety of pet health problems as fast as possible. We offer lab testing and x-rays.
From plastic surgery to orthopedic surgery, Advanced Veterinary operates with your pet’s safety and comfort in mind. Before a pet surgery, we will provide you with all of the information you need so that you’ll understand the potential risks and concerns of the procedure. Then, we will walk you through our process and explain to you the steps we take to ensure that your pet is safe and comfortable while going under the knife.
The Owner of Advanced Veterinary
Dr. Thomas Jackson has helped and rescued numerous abandoned and neglected animals throughout his career, and one of the most memorable rescues he has made was when he helped a pit bull named Abigail.
Abigail is a loving and courageous rescue pup who was used as a bait dog in a Miami dog-fighting ring. When she was brought to Dr. TJ by Victoria and Brock Frazier, she was in a very bad condition, with the right side of her face torn off and her right ear shredded and dangling from the side of her face.
Dr. TJ and his team did everything they could to help Abigail, including performing multiple surgeries and skin grafts to help restore her appearance and improve her quality of life.
Thanks to the efforts of Dr. TJ, his team, and Victoria and Brock Frazier, Abigail is now a 100% happy and healthy rescue pup.
